Experimental Workspace Design by RAAAF (Rietveld Architecture Art Affordances)
Barbara Visser collaborated with RAAAF and created a futuristic/experimental office workspace that encourages workers to lean, lay down and perch - in order to improve healthy being for workers who spend long hours in the office in the same sitting position which could be the cause of the bad health according to a medical research.
According to various researches from Sweden, Australia and the UK, long hours sitting at the desk my be a trigger for various diseases such as heart diseases, cancer and obesity.
Ronald and Erik Rietveld, architects and founders of RAAF, decided to implement a workspace project that encourages different standing positions. The workspace also allows to work on laptop while leaning, standing or laying.
Whether companies are going to address current health issues or not is not clear, but creative futuristic workspace projects are great way to address these concerns.
