One well known architect Bestor B. is well known for creating pop culture style designs in various types of buildings. She has also took a part Beats Electronics workspace as it faced a challenge of making a space for 600 employees from only 16 employees at the beginning.  The company mostly known for its headphones - marketed as Beats by Dre - was bought by Apple and consequently all operations were undertaken and relocated in Culver city.



An architect Bestor has decided to remodel 2 floors with a limited budget and create modern, urban style that would reflect companies’ culture. The whole process of accomplishing a full transformation in the warehouse has taken 12 months. An architect decided to retain some of the existing architectural features such as columns and also removed existing walls. Also, in order to add drama and style to the organisational space, Bestor and other architects created an open-design office that has common area where all people can collaborate as well as emphasised the importance of individual working space.



According to Bestor,the goal was to create an urban college campus where people can have fun and games as well as get energetic and communicative due to space elements. However, the other idea was to create an environment that does not encourage domination. The workspace was designed to be adapt to extroverts as well as introverts.
