Is it Possible To Combine Work & Active Lifestyle in Your Office?

Healthy living is becoming more popular in our lives than ever before. Remote work is preferable by many as it gives us more flexibility but it also keeps us busier. Not all of us can have a nice and healthy meal during the day at work, thus we end up having a quick snack that aren't the healthiest choice. Also, some of us find it difficult to go to the gym after work as we tend to feel lazy after a whole day of mental work.

Luckily, Patricia Ceysens came up with an idea - combination of an office desk and bicycle -  that can help us to stay physically as well as mentally active in the office. Surprisingly, these desks are unique not only because it allows us to exercise while working, but it also generates electricity. The electricity that is being created while cycling at a comfortable pace for 30 minutes can charge your phone, laptop or any other gadget.

Moreover, this energy bike/desk should be encouraged for the use of people who need to get new ideas, as the research has proven that slightly active work help us to get more focused and creative.

However, the main disadvantage of these energy bikes is it's cost. The bike cost around £8,000. Having the cost in mind, it is clear that energy created using this bike will not help you to save a lot and cover the price of the bike.

If you want to see these bikes in-use, you can find it in the University of Netherlands, the Vedett Cyclett ale factory in Belgium, Belgian embassy in France as well as plenty of railways and airports.
